Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses and the use of child victimization in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world regarding policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She currently serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
